Pune had a marathon of women stories to share

Pune’s winter season became warm and alive with a spectacular symphony of empowerment, style, and storytelling that unfolded with the iRise Weekender Series. Hosted for Indriya by Aditya Birla Jewellery by Upshot Brand Media, this three-day marathon of inspiration transformed the brand’s flagship stores into moments of sisterhood. Across December 17, 18, and 19, the city witnessed a powerful movement where more than 60 remarkable women—ranging from tech pioneers and educators to creative visionaries—stepped into the spotlight to share their "glittering" truths.

 

December 17: Pimpri-Chinchwad – The Spark of Ambition

 

The series kicked off with a high-octane evening at the Indriya Store in Pimpri-Chinchwad, where the air was thick with the spirit of community and growth. Keynote speaker Poonam Pardeshi, Founder of Pinchi, set a vibrant tone by sharing her journey of building an empowering Facebook community that connects thousands of women in the PCMC region. Alongside her, Vishakha Gupta (Principal of Beacon High School) shared insights on leadership in education. The evening sparkled with the "Inspiring Stories" of Dr. Anju Bala, Anagha Wankhede, Priti Dabade, and CA Sarika Chordiya, each proving that whether in finance, social welfare, or academia, a woman’s resolve is as indestructible as a diamond.

 

 

December 18: Aundh – Elegance Meets Entrepreneurship

 

On the second day, the spotlight shifted to the sophisticated lanes of Aundh, where the Indriya Store became a hub for Pune’s corporate and creative elite. The audience was captivated by keynote speaker Rujuta Prakash Jagtap, Executive Director of SAJ Test Plant Pvt Ltd, who broke glass ceilings in the manufacturing world as the first woman Director on the Board of MCCIA. Joining her was Sejal Ray, a tech professional and founder of Taare Zaamen Par, who spoke on balancing corporate life with social impact. The session was further enriched by a diverse panel of voices including Sreemoyee Mazumder, Sucheta Deshpande, CA Ashwini Kariya, Viha Pandya, and others, whose tales of resilience resonated against the backdrop of glittering Indriya’s exquisite gold and polki collections.

 

 

December 19: Bund Garden – The Grand Finale of Grace

 

The series reached its crescendo at the Bund Garden Store, where the focus turned toward the "Change Catalysts" of Pune. Keynote speaker Karishma Khoja, an acclaimed author and speaker, mesmerized the room with her insights on personal transformation and the power of the written word. She was accompanied by leaders like Mayuri Dhavale (Founder of PadSquad) and Seema Tanwar (MD of KanvasKidz), who highlighted the importance of social entrepreneurship and education. As the final notes of the weekend played out, the inspiring stories of Sangeeta Sharma, Dr. Kavita Ghiya, Radhika Koutha, and others left the audience with a sense of profound purpose and a renewed belief in the power of their own voices.

The iRise Weekender Series was more than just a networking event; it was a storied celebration of the modern woman’s journey.
